Parish elections in 2018

In 2018, parish elections were arranged for the election of persons to positions of trust in altogether 384 parishes. The graphics show the voting activity in the elections, by diocese and by parish, and the age and gender distributions of the elected persons of trust.

The impact of the amended Marriage Act on the Church

The amendment to the Marriage Act entered into force on 1 March 2017. Accordingly, same-sex couples can be legally married. The graphics illustrate the attitudes of the Church employees and elected persons of trust in parishes regarding the impact of the amendment to the Marriage Act within the Church. The results are based on the questionnaire surveys conducted among the employees and elected persons of trust in autumn 2015.

Parish elections in 2014

The graphics show the age and gender distributions of the persons elected to positions of trust in parish elections in 2014, and the proportional share of new elected persons in each parish. The graphics are based on the information retrieved from the VALAS system.
