Whether or not you are a member of the Church, you are always welcome to attend the worship of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland.
Worship is the appropriate response to God’s love and mercy for us in Christ. It is therefore at the heart of every parish’s life: the Lutheran confession defines a parish as the place where the word is proclaimed and the sacraments are duly administered.Worship is offered in every parish at least on Sundays and other feast days, but many parishes also offer services during the week. The main Sunday service is usually a Eucharist. Major festivals such as Christmas and Easter typically attract larger attendances than usual, and regular broadcasts of services are offered on television and radio at those times. We are sent out from worship to serve our neighbours and to lead lives which glorify God. This is also the principle reflected in the parishes’ broad range of activities.
