The Christian instruction of both children and adults is called catechesis. Much of our catechesis is centred on preparing people for confirmation, but that is not the extent of our teaching – we can always learn more!
During the confirmation instruction of both young people and adults, we study the Bible and discuss questions about God. If you already are a confirmed member of a Christian church, you can join your local parish without re-confirmation; this also applies to members of a number of other denominations. For more information about joining and preparing for baptism and confirmation, contact your local parish office. Confirmation classes are also open to people who don’t wish to join the Church but would like to learn more about our faith.
Parishes and Christian organisations also organise Bible studies and Alpha courses. Some parishes even offer individual tuition – usually free of charge.
For more information about local instruction, contact your local parish office.
