The Church's EU work
The plenary of the Church Council is responsible for the church's EU policy. EU work is led by the Secretary General, assisted by the church's Legal Adviser on EU Affairs, who monitors developments in the EU, prepares statements on EU issues and handles the church's contacts with the EU institutions and with cooperation partners.
The Church Council's EU Working Group steers the church's work on EU affairs. It is chaired by the Council's Secretary General, with members drawn from the Council, along with the church's representative on the Church and Society Commission of the Conference of European Churches.
