Welcome to the 9th Conference on the Nordic Folk Churches in a Multireligious Society. The conference will take place in Helsinki and Espoo on October 27-29, 2021.

12.30 - 16.00 Participating in the 10th anniversary of the CORE Forum (The National Forum for Cooperation of Religions in Finland) in Balderin Sali Hall in Helsinki

28 October:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there may be some needs for changes. A more exact program will be released as soon as possible.

Please register by 29 September 2021.

Accomodation:

There are 40 rooms reserved for participants, at a special conference rate, at the Original Sokos Hotel Presidentti.

A room for one person costs 140 Euros per night (280 Euros for both nights). This offer is available until 29 September 2021. Hotel breakfast, sauna, and Wi-Fi are included in the price. After registration, you will get the information needed to get the reduced rate.

COVID-19

Should the pandemic prevent a physical meeting, we will organize a virtual, one-day conference online on Thursday 28 October. We will keep you informed about the situation in Finland.  

New information will be shared by the end of September. 

Guidelines for Interreligious Encounter

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland has published a new document, Guidelines for Interreligious Encounter. It aims to encourage and inspire both parishes and individual church members in meeting those who believe differently in the spirit of Christian charity and hospitality. You can read it online:

Uskontojen kohtaamisen toimikunta ja Kirkon lähetystyön keskus järjestävät yhdeksännen pohjoismaisten kansankirkkojen uskontodialogitoimijoiden tapaamisen Helsingissä ja Espoossa 27.-29.10.2021. Tarkempi ohjelma julkaistaan tällä sivulla ja lähetetään ilmoittautuneille. Tapahtuman kieli on englanti.
