The Church Pension Fund as an organisation

The Church Pension Fund is an independent public law legal person established by virtue of the Church Act. Its domicile is Helsinki, Finland.

The National Church Council serves as the supervising authority of the Fund. The activities of the Fund are led by the Board of the Church Pension Fund and the Director of the Fund as appointed by the National Church Council. In addition, Pension Scheme Funding Work Group and Responsible Investment Work Group are working under the Board of the Church Pension Fund. The practical investment activities are the responsibility of the Fund’s Investment Unit.

The Investment Unit consists of the Chief Investment Officer, three portfolio managers and the real estate investment manager. The portfolio managers also serve as responsible investment specialists.
